The PBL pin-type copper-aluminum terminal is a specialized transition connector engineered to bridge aluminum cables and copper pin-style equipment terminals or busbars. Its unique bi-metallic design combines an aluminum cable barrel with a precision-machined copper pin, eliminating galvanic corrosion while enabling efficient power transfer in space-constrained electrical panels.
Key Features & Benefits:
Seamless Transition: Aluminum barrel (10–630 sqmm) accepts aluminum cables, while the solid copper pin ensures direct, low-resistance connection to copper equipment pins.
Space-Saving Design: 150° angled barrel orientation optimizes panel layout, reducing required clearance and simplifying wiring in compact distribution boxes.
Installation Guide:
Strip the aluminum cable insulation to the length indicated on the PBL terminal barrel.
Insert the cable into the aluminum barrel, ensuring no strands are exposed.
Crimp the barrel using a hydraulic crimping tool with appropriate dies, applying pressure at 2–3 points to create a gas-tight connection.
Insert the copper pin into the equipment’s pin-style terminal, securing with the designated locking mechanism or set screw to prevent disconnection under vibration.
Selection Tips:
Match the PBL terminal’s aluminum barrel size to your cable cross-section (e.g., PBL-150 for 150 sqmm cables).
Confirm the copper pin diameter and length match your equipment’s pin terminal specifications.
Choose PBL terminals for applications where space is limited and aluminum cables must connect to copper pin-style components.
Applications:
Ideal for transformer connections, compact power distribution cabinets, renewable energy inverters, and industrial control panels, where efficient aluminum-to-copper transitions and space optimization are essential.
